Close-Knit CIC, a not-for-profit organisation, was founded in 2021 out of Beth Munby’s passion for supporting families and organisations with early intervention tools, in Teesside and beyond.

Close-Knit produces resources to support the parent and child relationship, currently focussing on the first 1001 days. The co-produced videos connect with parents in simple, accessible language, with Teesside accents, using a hopeful and non-judgemental approach. The workshops and resources aim to help families to give their children the best start in life, and are shared directly with families, online, and through partners e.g. Start for Life services.

Resources and workshops are available for organisations to buy and are accessible at no cost to families through funded projects, with some additional free resources available to all online.

Close-Knit is passionate about prevention and their work is not only for the well-being of children today but also for the well-being of generations to come. We want children to have secure, nurturing relationships with their caregivers, enabling them to thrive in childhood, and increasing their chances of positive life outcomes in adulthood across health, employment, income, and education.
